Lisa Screeton is a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School at Harvard University where she was a Harry S. Truman Scholar and Class Marshall in 2000. She loves teaching middle school students and also continues to guest lecture in the summer on domestic and international security policy. A musician and artist, her Middle and High School choirs have toured throughout the United States and Europe and have performed four times for Papal Masses at St. Peter’s Basilica in Italy. She and her music students have also appeared on The Kennedy Center Honors for CBS and Christmas in Washington for NBC and TNT television networks. An award-winning teacher, she has received the Bayard Friedman Award for Excellence in Choral Education, the HUMMER Hero Award as teacher of the year, received the teacher of the year award from Score a Goal in the Classroom Foundation, and was the recipient of an endowed chair in fine arts at Fort Worth Country Day School. She loves reading, birding, painting, and all things dog!
